Days of Our Lives: Natalia Livingston Joins Cast

Soap Opera Digest is reporting that Natalia Livingston (popular daytime star from General Hospital) has joined the cast of Days of Our Lives in the role of Taylor Raines.  Taylor is the sister of Nicole Walker (Arianne Zucker) who last appeared in Salem in the late 90′s played by another actress.  I find it interesting that they’re bringing Nicole’s sister back and I love the fact that it’s a well known daytime start playing her.  Taylor is sure to have much more impact this time around.

I’m also excited for the return of my fave Days of Our Lives actress, Melissa Reeves.  Melissa Reeves plays Jennifer Horton who has been my fave character on Days of Our Lives since I started watching the show when I was in 5th grade.

So, while I’m sad that Lindsay Hartley is leaving the show this week, at least there is some good news on the horizon!

Real Housewives of OC: Clarification on Jeana vs Tamra

So, now that the story has cleared a bit, here’s the scoop on what went down with Jeana Keough and Tamra Barney.

Apparently, Tamra had Jeana served with a C&D, apparently due to Jeana hanging with Tamra’s ex-husband, Simon Barney.  This lead to Jeana trying to push Tamra into a pool, which lead to Tamra throwing her drink in Jeana’s face.

The OC Housewives must be taking tips from the NJ Housewives on how to settle differences.  Sad to see these women driven to this point, but it does make for great entertainment!

Real Housewives of OC: Drama between Jeana Keough and Tamra Barney

So, I caught wind of this from posts on Twitter and then did a little digging.  It appears that Jeana Keough has been hanging out with Tamra Barney’s ex-husband, Simon Barney.  They are just friends and he has a new girlfriend.  However, Tamra is apparently not happy with this friendship and ended up throwing a drink in Jeana’s face, prompting Jeana to try to throw Tamra in a pool.

Jeana’s children, Kara and Shane, stood up for their mother by tweeting their thoughts on Tamra’s actions to Tamra within the last hour or so.  Quinn Fry posted on her Facebook about the incident occuring while they were filming.

So, why would Jeana and Quinn be filming when they aren’t even current cast members of RHOOC?  My guess is that this was the season finale when all the housewives, both past and current, get together for a cocktail party.  I’m sure we’ll see this play out this season…and maybe it will lead to Jeana coming back to the show full time for season 7!  Jeana is my fave OC housewife.

The Real Housewives Cross with Celebrity Apprentice!

Quick news item!  If you love NeNe Leakes of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” as much as I do, then you’ll be excited to know that she will be on the new season of Donald Trump’s “Celebrity Apprentice”.  I’m really looking forward to seeing her mix it up with the Donald.  Also on tap for the new season are Latoya Jackson and Starr Jones.  I’ll let you know more as I learn it!

Days of Our Lives: Bye Bye Arianna :(

Am I the only one that is EXTREMELY upset that the beautiful and talented Lindsay Hartley is leaving “Days of Our Lives”?  Lindsay was my favorite actress on “Passions” where she played Theresa Lopez-Fitzgerald-Winthrop, so I was beyond excited when she joined the cast of my favorite soap, “Days of Our Lives” as Arianna Hernandez.  Then the show had to go and get rid of her.    I know she’s going to resurface in December on an ABC soap opera, but I can’t get into another show.  I’m really going to miss seeing her face every day.  And to add insult to injury, the show isn’t just having her move out of town, they’re killing her.  I know on soaps that that doesn’t mean much.  So, I’m just hoping that Stefano (Joseph Mascolo) secretly steals her comatose body and holds her hostage to one day unleash her on the town of Salem.

Real Housewives: Teresa Giudice Leaving NJ? Vicky Gunvalson Divorce?

Over in the world of “The Real Housewives”, it appears that Teresa Giudice may be planning to leave “The Real Housewives of NJ” if she doesn’t get more money.  Reports all over the net are saying that she may be planning to leave if Bravo isn’t willing to pay her more money.  Of course the fact that her sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga, and possibly her cousin joining the cast must not be making her want to stick around either.

Meanwhile, in Orange County, CA, Vicky Gunvalson of “The Real Housewives of Orange County” reportedly has filed for a divorce from her husband, Donn.  Vicky and Donn have been married for 14 years.  I believe that the cast is in the midst of filming season 6 of their show, so I’m assuming this divorce will play out on the new season when the show returns.

Marvel Cartoon News! New Avengers Cartoon Debuts Tonight!

Marvel is introducing a new Avengers cartoon starting tonight to cash in on the popularity of the franchise that’s growing due to movies like “Iron Man”, “Iron Man 2″, “Thor”, and “Captain America”.  As most of you know, those 3 movies are leading up to what is going to be one of the biggest comic book movies of all time, “The Avengers”.

Tonight on Disney XD from 8:30pm – 9:30pm EST, the new Avengers cartoon debuts.  The cast consists of Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Hulk, Wasp, and Ant-Man.  It’s looking VERY promising and got a lot of buzz at this years NY Comic Con.

Super Hero Squad Season 2! Hello Thanos.

In other Marvel cartoon news, season 2 of the popular “Super Hero Squad” will be debuting later this week on 10/23/10.  Lots of celeb voices are slated for this season, including Jane Lynch from “Glee”.

Real Housewives: New Housewives on the Block

So, as many of you know, there are a lot of new housewives that will be popping up on the Bravo shows over the next year.  Let’s take a look at the confirmed and rumored new housewives…

First off, on “The Real Housewives of Orange County”, with the exit of Lynne Curtin at the end of last season, a spot was opened for a new wife.  In steps Peggy Tanous, a good friend of current housewife, Alexis Bellino.  Peggy is 41 and is married to a web entrepeneur.

Meanwhile, it has been announced that Bethenny Frankel will not be returning for the fourth season of “The Real Housewives of New York”.  Now, while that show already had enough housewives even with Bethenny leaving, they still have replaced her with Cindy Barshop.  And don’t fear, Bethenny Frankel is currently filming a second season of her hit “Bethenny Getting Married”.

Over in my neck of the woods, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” lost two cast members over the past season.  First, Dina Manzo left the show about half way through this season, and then Danielle Staub sang her swan song after the two part reunion.  That leaves two vacancies, one of which is supposedly being filled my Teresa Giudice’s sister-in-law, Melissa Gorga.  According to Teresa, the two get along.  According to Melissa, the two don’t really get along.  So, let the drama ensue.  Who will fill the 5th spot in NJ?  Rumors have said that Teresa’s cousin may also be joining the cast, while other rumors still say that Kim Granatell (Danielle’s frenemy from this past season) may have a shot.  I’ll let you know for sure when I find out.  Also, Danielle is currently filming her own spinoff that does not yet have a title.

Finally, we’re getting a whole new cast with “The Real Housewives of Miami”.  Some reports say that there will be 5 women starring on the show, others say 6, and others say 7.  Below are pictures of the 6 rumored stars of the show.

Sister Wives: A VERY Different Housewife Series

So, I had heard of this show, but I never saw it.  However, while flipping through the channels tonight waiting for the new episode of Desperate Housewives, I came across this show “Sister Wives”.  “Sister Wives” is a reality series based around polygamy.

For those that don’t know, polygamy is defined as having more than one spouse at a time.  “Sister Wives” follows Kody Brown and his 3 wives and 1 wife to be.  Kody has 13 children with his 3 wives, and will gain an additional 3 with his wife to be.  His first wife (and the only wife that the state of Utah recognizes) is Meri, the second wife is Janelle, the third wife is Christine (who is pregnant with his 13th child during the first season of the show), and the wife to be is Robyn.

The show is VERY different, and while I do not understand this lifestyle, the show is VERY addictive.  I’m really enjoying it while trying to wrap my mind around it.  Tonight is the season finale at 10pm.  Looks like it will be a special hour long episode airing on TLC.
