Gossip Girl: Season 3 Scoop!!!

So, you knew it was coming…of course I’m going to give you the scoop on what’s ahead on my FAVORITE TV Show, Gossip Girl.  I’m so excited to see what happens this season, and it really sounds like they’re pulling out all the stops this year.  So, let’s take a look at what our favorite Upper Eastsiders are going to be up to.  Thank you Gossip Girl Insiders for this info!!!

Let’s start off with some casting news.  As I told you in previous posts, Michelle Trachtenberg (Georgina) will be appearing this season.  However, since the actress is starring on the new NBC series, “Mercy”, her time at GG will be limited.  But she will be popping up throughout the season.  Will Georgina and Blair (Leighton Meester) be roomies???

Yes, it’s true, Hilary Duff has been cast on Gossip Girl as an actress from vampire films who has decided to go to college in NYC.  Hilary will be playing Olivia Burke and will be roomies with Vanessa (Jessica Szohr).  Look for Olivia to strike up a relationship with Dan (Penn Badgley).

Joanna Garcia who starred on “Privileged” last season was jobless when “Privileged” didn’t get picked up for a second season.  However, she landed a new role on Gossip Girl as Bree Buckley.  Bree is a socialite from down south who will be dating Nate (Chace Crawford).  Apparently they are going to have a Romeo and Juliet type romance as her family and his family are not very friendly.

Gina Torres has been cast in the recurring role of Vanessa’s mother, Gabriela Abrams.  Look for her to add a different parental touch to the show.

Now some scoop on the returning cast!

Looks like Chuck (Ed Westwick) will be kissing a boy this season.  Fans of the Gossip Girl book series know that Chuck was written as being questionably gay.  Well, on the TV show he’s obviously not, but the show is paying homage to his book character’s storyline by having him make out with a guy (Neal Bledsoe) as a part of a scheme that he and Blair cook up.  By the way, Chuck and Blair will most definitely be a couple this season.  YAY!!!

Carter Baizen (Sebastian Stan) will be seen on GG a lot this season.  Will Carter be dating Serena (Blake Lively)?  Look at the picture below, sure looks like it!

Jenny (Taylor Momsen) is the new Queen B at school.  Look for her to be heavily involved in story with the new popular clique at Constance.

Lily’s (Kelly Rutherford) and Rufus’ (Matthew Settle) love child, Scott (Chris Riggi), will be around this season.  Looks like Scott and Vanessa will strike up a relationship, and it looks like he’ll be meeting his parents (based on the photo below).

Kristen Bell will return this season as the voice of Gossip Girl.  I’m glad to hear this since her voice is now synonomous with the show.

Eric (Connor Paolo) will also be back this season.  No word on how often or what his storyline will be yet.

Look for Dan (Penn Badgley) to be buff this season.  Penn must have spent the summer in the gym, and he looks great.  He’s still dating Blake Lively in real life too!

Desperate Housewives: Season 6 News!!!

Well, there is quite a bit of news happening on Wysteria Lane.  As the show prepares for it’s sixth season, lots of changes are in store.  Here’s just a bit of the news I gathered (thanks to TV Fanatic!!!):

Shawn Pyfrom (Andrew) has been bumped to recurring status so that the actor can work on other projects.  Series creator, Marc Cherry, said that he does not want to lose Andrew all together because he really likes the character.

Drea de Matteo (The Sopranos) has joined the cast as a new series regular.  Her character’s name is Angie Bolen.  Angie moves to Wysteria Lane with her husband – new series regular, Jeff Nordling (24) – and her son – new series regular, Beau Mirchoff.  The family definitely has a secret, which will play out throughout the season.

Andrea Bowen (Julie) returns to DH this season as a series regular.  It is rumored that Julie will be dating Beau Mirchoff’s character.

Orson Bean has joined the cast in the role of Roy.  Roy will be Karen McClusky’s (Kathryn Joosten) boyfriend.  And yes, they will have a sex scene.

My favorite news, of course, is that Jesse Metcalfe is returning to the show in the role of John.  Only this time John wont be going after Gabby (Eva Longoria-Parker).  Instead, he’ll be dating Ana (Maiara Walsh), the niece of Carlos (Ricardo Antonio Chavira) that moved in with Gabby and Carlos in the season 5 finale.

We’ll learn who Mike (James Denton) married in the season 5 finale…either Susan (Teri Hatcher) or Katherine (Dana Delaney).

Bree (Marcia Cross) will still be flirting with Karl (Richard Burgi), but her story with Orson (Kyle MacLachlan) is far from over.

Finally, we found out in the season finale that Lynette (Felicity Huffman) was preggers again.  Turns out that her’s and Tom’s (Doug Savant) story may lead her down the road of considering an abortion.

I’m really excited to see where DH is going to go this year.  Sounds like an exciting season already.  DH’s season premiere is on Sunday, September 27th.

90210: Season 2 Spoilers!!!

Well, gang…we have less than a week for the season premiere of 90210!!!  This is very exciting, and I’ve been keeping mum about so many things I’ve learned will be happening this season on the show.  So, now I’m going to share everything I know in celebration that the new season is about to begin.

First, a bit of a recap.  Season 1 ended with Annie (Shenae Grimes) and Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord) having a huge falling out after Naomi mistakenly believed that Annie slept with Liam (Matt Lanter).  However, it was actually Naomi’s sister, Jen (Sara Foster), who actually slept with Liam.  After their falling out and Annie’s walk of shame out of the party at Naomi’s, Annie took to the bottle and went for a drive.  Annie’s drive ended with her running over someone.  Meanwhile, Liam went home where he was abducted by some militant guys that were going to take him away to boarding school per his step-father’s orders.  Dixon (Tristan Wilds) and Silver’s (Jessica Stroup) relationship continued to weaken, while Silver realized that Ethan (Dustin Milligan) had actually developed feelings for her.  Silver also realized that she has bipolar.  Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) had her baby with Navid (Michael Steger) and Brenda (Shannen Doherty) at her side.  Brenda adopted a baby after learning that she could not have children.  Donna (Tori Spelling) returned from Japan and we learned she became a famous fashion designer and was having problems with David (Brian Austin Green).  However, Donna once again left Beverly Hills, to go back to Japan and try to reconcile with David.  Harry (Rob Estes) and Kelly (Jennie Garth) rekindled their friendship which turned out to possibly be something more, and this made Debbie (Lori Loughlin) uncomfortable.  Kelly also revealed that the father of her child is actually Dylan (Luke Perry), and she had a brief romance with Ryan (Ryan Eggold).  Silver and Kelly learned that their mother, Jackie (Anne Gillespie) had returned to drugs and alcohol, and finally Ethan left town (though we don’t know why yet).

OK, now for the season 2 spoilers:

Silver and Dixon are officially going to be ending their relationship!

There will be new cast members this year in the form of Teddy (Trevor Donovan of Days of Our Lives fame), Jasper (Zachary Ray Sherman), and Ivy (Amalia Zinser).  Plus Rumer Willis (daughter to Demi Moore and Bruce Willis) will be guest starring this season!

Annie will continue her downward spiral, which will lead her to a romance with Jasper.  Turns out that Jasper is the brother of the guy that Annie killed in the season finale, and he will be blackmailing and manipulating her throughout the season.

Liam and Naomi are still on the outs, so he falls for new girl, Ivy.  There will be a love triangle between Liam, Ivy, and Dixon.

The love triangle between Debbie, Harry, and Kelly will also heat up, while Ryan will be in a love triangle with a student and a new character.

Looks like Adrianna and Navid will be calling it quits, and she’ll be moving onto new boy, Teddy.

90210 and the New Melrose Place MAY crossover at some point during this coming season.

And finally, Kelly and Silver’s mother, Jackie, will learn that she has breast cancer and she may die this season.

Sounds like this season will be EXPLOSIVE!  Can’t wait until it begins.  And for anyone out there who doesn’t know yet, 90210’s second season will begin next Tuesday (9/8/09) at 8pm EST.  Thank you 90210 Insiders for most of this information!! 

The Vampire Diaries: New poster and actor!

This new The Vampire Diaries poster has been making its rounds around the net.  Pretty hot!  It features the 3 main stars of the series: Paul Wesley as Stefan, Nina Dobrev as Elena, and Ian Somerhalder as Damon.  Also, the character of Tyler Stratton has been cast.  He’ll be played by none other than Michael Trevino, who played Ozzie during the first season of the new 90210.

This show looks really promising, and the fact that Kevin Williamson (Dawson’s Creek and Scream) is the brains behind it makes me really excited!  Again, I got this information from TV Fanatic.  Hope you all enjoy!

Melrose Place News – Daphne Zuniga Returns!!! And other casting news…

So, another old fave is returning to Melrose…Daphne Zuniga is returning for a few episodes as Jo Reynolds.  You may all remember that Jo moved into the complex about half way through the first season replacing Sandy Louise Harling (Amy Locane).  Jo came on the scene as a photographer with a lot of baggage and was a total rebel.  She carried a gun and rode a motorcycle.  Total bad ass!    Anywho, after a few seasons, Jo was softened beyond recognition and soon found herself always being the damsel in distress.  That said, her romance with Jake Hanson (Grant Show) was definitely one for the ages on Melrose.  They had great chemistry, but were always being broken up by other characters.  Jo found herself at odds with Jane (Josie Bissett) when Jo began dating Richard (Patrick Muldoon) who was Jane’s ex.  Jo left Melrose after some guy she was dating proposed to her and took her away.  Now, Jo will be returning to Melrose as a professional photographer.  No news yet on what her story will be.  But I’ll keep looking!  Daphne marks the fourth original cast member to return to Melrose, with Laura Leighton (Sydney), Thomas Calabro (Michael), and Jose Bissett (Jane) also set to return.

In other casting news, Brooke Burns of Baywatch fame, is also moving into Melrose.  Brooke will be playing Michael’s (Thomas Calabro) wife, Vanessa Mancini.  Apparently Michael will be up to his old antics and Vanessa will get caught up in it all.

Also, fans of the original series will remember when Sydney (Laura Leighton) worked for a famous Hollywood Madame, played by Days of Our Live’s Kristian Alfonso (Hope on Days).  Well, it looks like one of the new residents will be repeating history…and the new Madame has been cast.  She will be played by Kelly Carlson of Nip/Tuck fame.

If you’ve been watching The CW at all this summer, you’ve been seeing a few promos for the new Melrose set to the sound of Britney Spears.  Well, here are a few promo posters for the new series.  Looks like Melrose is going to be hotter than ever!!!!

Melrose Place News: Josie Bissett Returns!!!

I know it’s been a while since I’ve put in a new post, it’s just that things have been so crazy.

Anywho, I came across this tidbit of news today, and it’s a doozy!  Josie Bissett is returning to Melrose as Jane Andrews-Mancini for at least one episode.  I’m assuming it would be for her sister Sydney’s (Laura Leighton) funeral.

Fans of the original Melrose will remember that Jane is the ex-wife of Michael Mancini (Thomas Calabro) and the sister of Sydney (Laura Leighton), two characters and actors who are both returning.

I can’t wait to see Jane back in action!  What do you all think??

Hottie o’ the Week: Ryan Carnes

Sorry I haven’t posted in a few days, just got really really busy…AND The Sims 3 came out, which I’m going right back to playing the second I’m done with this post, lol.  Anywho, I’m thinking the Hottie o’ the Day will now become the Hottie o’ the Week only b/c it’s getting increasingly harder to find hotties.  However, before I make any drastic changes, I had to post a new hottie…Ryan Carnes.  Many of you may not know who Ryan is, but he’s worked in daytime soap, he’s done a few gay movies (including Eating Out), and he played on Desperate Housewives as one of John’s (Jessie Metcalfe) friends.  Hope you enjoy, b/c this guy is seriously hot.
