How funny were these two shows last night?  I couldn’t stop laughing out loud, they both just tickled my funny bone.

First up, on Parks and Recreation, Amy Poehler’s character (Leslie Knope) was out of this world last night.  Her scenes where she was being interviewed for the newspaper were hysterical.  And, if you DVRd the episode (as I did), at the end of the episode you could pause the screen to read the actual newspaper article on Leslie’s proposed park.  The article is sooooo funny!

Then, on The Office, Michael (Steve Carell), Pam (Jenna Fischer), and Ryan (BJ Novak) all got their jobs back at Dunder-Mifflin!  All the actors on The Office had great performances last night that were literally laugh out loud.  I’m happy that these 3 are back in the actual office too.  It was great to see Michael stand up for Ryan and Pam, and he even got Pam promoted from receptionist to Sales Rep.  It’ll be interesting to see her in this new role.  I wonder if it will spark some competitiveness between her and her fiancee, Jim (John Krasinski)?

Sadly, I think last night’s episode of The Office was guest star’s Idris Elba’s last episode.  I hope they’ll get him back at some point, he was a great character!

However, we’ll all be able to catch Idris in action this weekend in his new movie “Obsessed” starring Beyonce Knowles and Ali Larter (Heroes).  Looks like a good flick!  I’ll be checking it out!  🙂

The Office is definitely my favorite comedy on TV right now, and I just happened to find spoilers for the season finale.  If you like the show, you’ll find these spoilers VERY interesting…

The season ends with a company wide Dunder-Mifflin picnic.

Ryan and Pam return to work at Dunder-Mifflin (meaning they leave The Michael Scott Paper Company).

I really wish the season wasn’t coming to a close, but I can’t wait to see some of this stuff, especially Holly’s return and what that means for Michael.  Hopefully Parks and Recreation will go through the summer to help me cope with The Office not being on.

It looks like Leighton Meester is moving herself up the “It Girl Ladder” in Hollywood.  She has two new movies coming out with some pretty big names.

First up, Leighton has a movie coming out with Cam Gigandet (James from the movie Twilight) called “Roommate”.  Roommate is a psychological thriller about a college freshman who becomes obsessed with her roommate.  Cam will be playing Leighton’s boyfriend in the flick.

Next up, Leighton will be starring in a movie called “Date Night” alongside Steve Carell (The Office), Tina Fey (SNL, 30 Rock), Mark Wahlberg (Fear, Boogie Nights), and James Franco (Spider-man).  This one is a comedy, and with Steve Carell and Tina Fey headlining the flick, I’m sure it’ll be a winner.  Leighton will be playing Steve and Tina’s babysitter.

To top it all off, Leighton is also working with American Idol judge, Kara DioGuardi, and Cobra Starship on their new album.  Just last week, Leighton debuted her new song “Birthday”, and now she is working with Kara and Cobra Starship on a song called “I Make Good Girls Go Bad”.

Sounds like Leighton is working extra hard to become a household name.  Personally, I love her, and I’m very excited to see her spread her wings.  🙂
